JOHN
BLACK
Internationally
Recognized Essential Oil Buyer
and Quality Control Expert
|
 |
John Black
has been in the essential oil
industry for more than 25 years. He specializes in Madagascar oils. He started
with International Flavors & Fragrances of New York as an essential oil
buyer, working there for nine years before moving to a French essential oil
trading house for another five years. In March 1992, Black began his own
distillation and trading. His annual travels take him around the globe, visiting
distillers and various joint-ventures to locate pure, raw, freshly distilled
essential oils.
John Black is one of the few true experts interpreting GLC (gas liquid
chromatograph) tests and has an impeccable reputation with Aromatherapists
globally. Black performs the reading and analysis for our essential oils as our
quality control expert.
John Black, regarding our
Essential Oils: "This is the criteria for these Essential Oils:
Genuine, authentic, unadulterated, pure, holistic, and highest quality essential oils all rolled into one. No other company can boast this. These Essential
Oils are totally unique because they are free from all chemicals and pesticides.
GUARANTEED! I stake my personal claim on it - free from any kind of
chemical or natural adulteration, and all are single species."
There are only a handful of
companies in the world that can trace their essential oils from plant to
bottle. This means knowing the location where the plant or seedling was
grown, when and how the plant material was harvested, and how the
distillation of plant material was performed. Most large companies, and
even some small ones, cannot trace the path their essential oils have
taken. This is because traders and brokers exchange essential oils a
number of times. They loose track of where the essential oils have
been, and under what conditions they have been stored.
This is not the case with our
oils. We are able to trace all of our essential oils from plant to
bottle because of quality control expert John Black. John is actively
involved in growing and distillation projects around the world. He can
trace the essential oils he sells to our Company literally from the time
they were planted until the essential oils enter our building to be
bottled.
Mr. Black spends the greater
portion of each year supporting and working with the people who supply
our Company’s Essential Oils all over the world. His twenty-five plus
year reputation in the therapeutic essential oil industry make him, the
leader. John is respected in the essential oil industry not only for his
integrity, but also because he is well acquainted with the standards and
concepts in both the flavor and fragrance sector and the increasingly
exclusive therapeutic oil industry. Mr. Black is a true expert and is
sought for his ability to analyze Gas Chromatography and Mass Spectrum
test results.
John Black is able to detect
and identify ‘GC’ peaks on essential oil test results that other experts
are not able to recognize. John can detect fragrance and chemical
adulteration in essential oils, even the most clever adulterations.
Our Company has always felt extremely fortunate to work with John
Black.

ANNEMARIE
BUHLER
President of the Phyto-Aromatherapy
Institute, Phyto-Therapist, Master Formulator |
In
1959, Annemarie Buhler
began building her
reputation as an innovative and highly respected formulator. She was
instrumental in the development of the first true time release process for
vitamins and minerals. She is respected internationally and has been selected
repeatedly as the U.S. delegate for international phyto-aromatherapy
and aromatherapy conferences. Chairman of the Board and Co-founder of the
first American Aromatherapy Association (founded in 1989), Ms. Buhler
created the standard for aromatherapy in America, which others have tried to
follow. Ms. Buhler brought the first aromatherapy medical data to the United
States from France. Always interested in furthering correct aromatherapy
information throughout the world, Ms. Buhler continues to be a beacon of light
to those searching for truth.
Since coming to the United
States in 1957, she has been actively engaged in her work and studies. Ms.
Buhler has been constantly involved with translation work for aromatherapy and
phyto-aromatherapy since 1984. One of the foremost aromatherapy lecturers and
educators, Ms. Buhler has dedicated her life to the correct principals and
teachings of phyto-aromatherapy and aromatherapy. Ms.
Buhler formulates and regulates the essential oil blends/synergies for our
aromatherapy, and acts as an independent consultant.
Annemarie Buhler, regarding our
Essential Oils: "This company will play an important role in the aromatherapy
field. They have a wonderful opportunity to contribute to the wellness of
people in their everyday lives. It takes dedication without compromises on
quality of essential oils, which of course is not always easy, but I am quite
certain that the perseverance in the pursuit of quality will be rewarding.
It takes courage to stand your ground, and I know that this company has all of
this."

Beginning her career with a BS
in nutrition, Ms. Davis served as secretary of the first U.S. aromatherapy
association which was founded in 1989. She has been involved in the organization
of aromatherapy seminars, while simultaneously participating in personal
research. She is also a successful lecturer. Ms. Davis has researched
aromatherapy data from numerous countries, including France, Germany,
Switzerland, Mexico, Canada, and England. Ms.
Davis was instrumental in the selection of our Essential Oil line and continues
to work closely as an independent consultant.

Guidelines
for Selecting Essential Oils
1.
Purity - Whenever, you choose essential oils
for your health and well-being be sure that they conform to the highest
standards of quality and purity. Only then will they reveal their
wonderful healing potency and energy-enhancing capabilities.
2.
Botanical Origin of Essential Oils - Does the
name and additional information on the label truly reflect its contents?
Manufacturers and suppliers that sell essential oils for use in
aromatherapy must be knowledgeable in the field. (See the credentials of
our essential oil experts)
3.
Country of Origin - Essential oils are like wine -- they have
optimal grown regions. The combination of substances in the plant depends
on climate and soil conditions. Suppliers should try to buy
products from areas that provide the best possible conditions.
4.
Growth and Cultivation - Plants grown in the
wild or grown organically yield essential oils of optimal quality.
Inexpensive essential oils are usually mass produced by large farm
operations that use chemical fertilizers and pesticides.
5.
Blended Essential Oils - It is not unusual to
find expensive essential oils blended with less expensive ones. The
result usually changes and reduces the healing capability of the product.
(Our single and blended oils are all single species)
6.
Essential Oils Containing Components of Other Oils - Expensive oils
are often made up of a combination of less expensive ones. The end
product has changed and its healing capacity diminishes.
7.
Diluting Essential Oils with Fatty Oils or Other
Liquids - Some producers offer essential oils that have been
diluted with almond, grape seed, or other vegetable oils, but the label
fails to mention this fact. In some cases, the oils are stretched with
mineral oils - usually petroleum or synthetic oils. Lavender oil,
for instance, often contains only a small portion of real oil - the rest
is "sauce".
8. Synthetic Additives and Synthetic Oils
-
Essential oils sold in pharmacies are required to conform to established
standards for content, density, and physical properties.
Consequently, many essential oils are altered, as necessary, to meet these
standards through additive substances. These additives are not
simply unacceptable, but some may be harmful - inducing illness.
9.
Cost - When a number of essential oils are offered at roughly the
same price, you may be certain that they are not pure.
Unscrupulous merchants often ask as much for an essential oil that has
been "stretched" as for one that is pure. Since the term
real or pure essential oil is not protected, there is no guarantee of
purity or quality.
10.
Increased Demand Raises Quality - The more
you demand high quality from the industry, the more care manufacturers
will take in their production.

What Are
highest quality essential oils?
highest quality essential oils
are very different from "pure" essential Oils.
Aromatherapy
is the use of Essential Oils for Therapeutic
purposes.
Therapeutic
- The medical
dictionary says: a treatment, having a medicinal or healing property; a
healing agent.
A
few of the healing properties of essential oils are- Anti-bacterial,
anti-cancerous, anti-depressant, anti-fungal, anti-infectious,
anti-inflammatory, anti-parasitic, antiseptic, anti-tumoral, antiviral
A pure essential
oil is one that does not contain added chemicals or additives of any kind,
including vegetable oils. A pure essential oil has nothing added to it.
However, a pure oil does not necessarily have a high therapeutic value. In
fact, the therapeutic benefits of a pure oil can be very low.
What you are
looking for is a pure essential oil that has the highest therapeutic
content. Here are some things to ask about the oils you are considering:
-
Are the oils from the first
distillation?
Some plants are
distilled 7 times. Our essential oils are pure essential oils released during
the first distillation. Our Ylang Ylang Extra is an example of our quality.
Most oil companies use a level 3 oil. The word Extra in our Ylang Ylang means
it is the top 1/3 of the first distillation.
-
Is anything added to the oil after distillation?
Most commonly producers extend the oils by
simply adding alcohol, propylene glycol, or acetate to the distilled essential
oil. Our oils are not chemically altered or changed by additives. We believe
products used on the body should be void of harmful chemicals.
-
Are chemical solvents injected into the
water during the distillation process?
Our oils have no solvents added to the
distillation water.
True highest quality essential oils
A few of the naturally occurring
chemical constituents found in essential oils include flavonoids, which
increase blood flow and cellular oxygenation; terpenes, which help
detoxify the body; phenols, which are antibacterial and antiseptic; and
ketones, which stimulate cell and tissue regeneration. Over 200 have
been identified.
Their unique molecular structure
gives essential oils the ability to penetrate cell walls to transport
oxygen, nutrients, and the above mentioned chemical constituents, and so
much more. Chemical additives fracture the molecular structure of
essential oils, altering their chemical constituents, thus destroying
their therapeutic properties. One of the causes of disease is the
inability of nutrients to penetrate the cell walls. By penetrating the
cell walls, pure essential oils transport nutrients and oxygen to the
cells -- nourishing, cleansing, detoxifying, increasing blood
circulation, mobilizing the body's own self-healing powers.

Why
Our Essential Oils and Extra Essentials
are the World’s Finest
1. All single oils are derived from single species.
2.
All
blends are combinations of single species oils.
3.
All
of our oils are both GC and MS tested and an analysis of both is
performed by John Black.
4.
Each
essential oil is inspected by a third-party source to insure that it
meets the strictest guidelines for purity, authenticity, and
therapeutic value.
5.
Before
crops are distilled into the oils, each crop is carefully examined for
traces of chemicals or pesticides. Only after it is determined to be
completely free from these adulterations are the crops then distilled
into our essential oils.
6.
Our
essential oils guarantee you the best prices for the highest quality
oils.
7.
We
have three independent “watch-dogs.” These professional
aromatherapists help select our oils, monitor our written materials,
advise us on the oil market worldwide, and provide quality control
over our oil selections.
8.
We
will NOT raise the cost of an oil because the "market will bear
it".
