What in the World are You Putting on Your Skin?![]() Ever wonder why so many skin care products you buy — even at the health food store — have ingredients on their labels that you can’t even read or pronounce? In my view, if you can’t read or pronounce the ingredient, there is a high likelihood it should not be in your lotion or other skin care product.
Obviously, you really want to avoid using anything potentially toxic on your skin! Because this is such a common problem, I’ve been searching for a product that you could be confident was made of real, recognizable, natural and organic ingredients. So you could enhance your health from the ‘outside in’, as well as the ‘inside out’. Quality skin care is not a replacement for good internal health — it is a part of your entire package of well-being. One of the first strategies you can use to improve your skin health is to make sure you are getting enough high quality omega-3 fats. This is such a reliable indicator that I frequently am able to tell someone’s omega-3 needs just by shaking their hand. If their hand is not smooth as a baby’s behind, it’s usually a strong indication that they need some more high quality animal-based omega-3 fats — like Omega 3 EPA So if you struggle with dry skin, make sure you are taking enough of these omega-3 fats. In the colder dry winter months, you may even need to increase your dose. Your skin grows from the inside out, so your overall nutritional levels really matter. That said however, caring for your skin is not just an inside job — it’s an outside job too. Mōdere Skin Care SystemsMōdere provides products with integrity. Mōdere products are biodegradable. Mōdere skin care products are effective and unique because of the molecular weight of the ingredients in the products. Picture your skin as a fly screen. Your skin “respires”, taking in oxygen and moisture from the atmosphere. The skin also emits unwanted toxins, carbon dioxide and moisture, but stops the entry of foreign bodies or harmful bacteria, etc. Molecular weight is the size of an ingredients. If the molecular weight of an ingredient is too large it cannot work effectively and will sit on the surface of your skin. This is like trying to push a tennis ball through a fly screen. The molecular weight of ingredients must be less than:
The molecular weight of all Mōdere products allows them to be effective in the areas needed, i.e. TrueTouch Retention Essence has a molecular weight of 456 More is not better! – Our products are concentrated products and must be used as such; especially the skin care and hair care products. Liberal amounts in most cases are not necessary. Make sure the bottles are gently shaken before use. Mōdere has developed skin care products that truly work with the delicate process of cleansing, supplementing, and balancing to help you enjoy beautiful, radiant skin. THE STRUCTURE OF THE SKIN The skin is the largest organ of the human body and performs three vital functions:
The skin is made up of many layers. The epidermis and the dermis are two of the most important in the use of skin care as they help combat aging. The epidermis is the outer layer of the skin, where sweat, pores, hair follicles, and pigment cells are found. The dermis contains the sebaceous glands, which produce sebum—a fatty substance secreted onto the surface of the skin for protection. Sebum helps the skin to retain moisture and also acts as a mild anti-bacterial agent. As we age, the skin produces less sebum and becomes drier. Collagen and elastin, which cause the skin to sag when damaged, are found in the dermis, along with sweat glands (which release water to regulate the body’s temperature), blood vessels, and nerves. Fatty tissue and nerve endings are found in the subcutaneous layer. KEY POINTS:
In the skin, a cell is produced and begins an evolutionary migration to the surface where it flakes off and is shed. This process takes as little as 20 days in younger skin and as much as 70 days in older skin. These changes are necessary for the skin to remain healthy and fulfill its role as a barrier and protector of the body. During this migration to the surface, the skin cell undergoes changes in structure and composition. Approximately 75 percent of the cell is moisture content at the basal layer; gradually diminishing to as little as 1 percent by the time it reaches the surface. Cells lying between the basal cells and the outer skin surface are called spiny cells. In healthy skin these spiny cells are tightly bonded together. The dermis supplies a mixture of water and gel-like materials, hyaluronic acid and collagen to the basal cells. These supply the skin with strength and elasticity. In unhealthy skin, they lose their bonding power. KEY POINTS:
Mōdere SKIN CARE BENEFITS Developed for men and women of all ages, Mōdere's multiple step programs offers a scientific, easy-to-use method to assist in rebuilding and nourishing skin cells by discarding aged, dead skin and replacing it with healthy new cells. Neways products should not be used with other brands. If used in conjunction with other brands, Neways product performance may be inhibited. KEY POINTS:
The "Outside" Job of Skin Care

Do something extraordinary for your youthful looks today. Plus, it has a number of amazing responsibilities that you probably don’t think about on a daily basis:
The loss of any of these functions will compromise your best health — and can accelerate signs of normal aging. Put simply, your skin plays a major role in your health. It functions as an organ that can absorb and excrete both nutrients and toxins through its pores. The condition of your skin is a powerful reflection of just how healthy you are on the inside. Because your skin has the ability to absorb whatever you put on it, careful choices are critical. You want to give your skin the same thoughtful care you give your internal organs. In a moment, I’ll tell you about some things that help support the health of your skin.
